Warmth

Where is it?

Warmth

Sun is setting on the day,

Porch is inviting, comfy, safe, old,

Rocking chair is creaking, shawl on shoulders,

Birds are singing, wind softly blows across the field,

Wildflowers dressed by God sway in motion without assistance,

Memories take me back to a child, laughter, running, playing in that field, sweet memories,

I long for the time back, the people in the memories, the days to still run, but time stands still for no one,

It’s ok, the warmth of the sun on the porch, with my heart full of memories, with my eyes looking at beauty all around, and I’m home.
