Waiting for a Miracle

A cry for help that doesn’t arrive the way I expect it

I always thought God lived in the miracles

That’s how He once showed up for me

But I’ve got to know Him deeper

In the waiting

In the silence

Of days,

weeks,

months and years.

In each morning,

When nothing new came

In the pain of surrender after surrender

When nothing made sense

I learned to trust

To move over,

and let Him love me
