Troubled Soldier

Mental Health Awareness

By OneWithPenPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

There was a soldier who abandoned orders.

An individual independent overestimated his strength.

Alone he pressed forward with a Uranium Monkey on his shoulders.

He made attempts to cross the border into a peaceful bliss.

His perspective is his Happiness is where peace would be.

The land he wanders now is a desolate topography.

He travels mountain ranges and valleys with deep toxic rivers without sustaining matter.

Trees without leaves desiccated from the draining of time.

He battles feral ghouls and golems to conquer the pharaoh of the land.

His name is Sorrow, and he drains life with his wraith-like hands.

Shadow is his advisor, the true ruler behind the throne.

His goal is to spread suffering in every home.

The soldier abandoned the orders of the wise who would save.

The soldier a human being who made a terrible mistake.

He trained in battle and traded recklessness for fear.

The inverse result was his intention in his brave career.

He didn't discern the difference between courage and idiocy.

Rivers display to him his reflection; his light formed to shadow.

His innocence died in faithlessness over pondering the depth of his errors.

In his heart, he owes a debt. He moves cautiously to revert his regret.

He has the desire to tame regret into a mastery of a skill.

He compensates for lost time, burning his health to heal.

He overuses his body to gain power at the cost of peace.

He abandoned all of his love to make reality a dream.

He concealed his depression and tucked it into lust.

He obsesses in madness on the path to overcoming his love.

He'd self-harm to control as what he abandoned he couldn't forget.

His actions summoned confusion in his attempt to divide kindness and assertion.

He wished to be a perfect king to obtain honor and glory.

The wish is a spark of hope to write a new story.

Hope was born to create an identity of his own.

He wanted not to be a soldier or king but a man with the freedom to be "his own."
