Time Flies

more melancholy

By Rob AngeliPublished 3 years ago 1 min read
Tick-Tock

"Time flies,"

is a proverbial expression

that bears a scythe,

although it seems to speak

casually.

It is hard

not to envy those

with their stay-at-home success

while i work

at my True Work

with brain and muscles already aching

from the labor

and the toil

the ceaseless flow of the kaching of the

cash register

customers whistle at me

like a dog

when they need service:

enchained wage slavery

paralyzing my senses and my mind.

I didn't want to make it personal

maybe this is the best way

to get to know me.

"Time flies,"

is a proverbial expression

that bears a scythe,

although it seems to speak

casually.

But all of this hurts

and must be done on the fly.
