The Sun, The Moon, And The Stars
Dedicated to Great Grandmother Sarah Brown 1865-1930

The Sun, The Moon, and The Stars
The sun arises, in golden light,
To kiss the skies, of deepest bright;
With gentle rays, it paints the morn,
And wakes the earth, as light is born.
The moon at dusk, so pale, serene,
In silver veil, a quiet queen,
She whispers soft through evening’s veil,
A tale of time that shall not fail.
The stars, they twinkle far and bright,
A million sparks in endless night,
Each one a dream, a wish, a prayer,
A secret held in Heaven’s care.
Oh, wondrous sky! Oh, endless dome,
Where sun and moon and stars do roam!
A dance of light, so pure, so fair,
That whispers truths beyond compare.
The sun will set, the moon will rise,
The stars will shine in velvet skies,
Yet in their paths, they’ll ever roam,
A constant song of Earth’s unknown.
My Mam once told me about a poem her mother kept, that my mams nan Sarah wrote. this in the 1800’s. The poem is long gone and lost, so this is for my great Grandmother in hope it is nearly as good as hers. May she R.I.P ❤️ Sarah Brown Born 1865-1930 ❤️
