This is such a beautiful song written by Ben Shive and Andrew Peterson, and I feel blessed to be able to share it. I hope it moves your heart as it does mine.

The Bible uses parables of a root, the branches, a vine and fruit as illustrations made easier for those who may not understand easily through explanation. This is especially helpful for children because it's easier for them to visualize a tree and its various parts as metaphors for us and God.

Creation was created. It did not evolve from a single cell or bacteria, as scientists have long expected us to believe. Modern scientists are being intimidated by "ancient earth" scientists who refuse to accept any science that contradicts their version of an earth that's millions or billions of years old. New modern testing techniques should be given the same credence as the old techniques that have always been embraced, well past their relevancy.

Through the common process of grafting, plants can bear better fruit or flowers than their own because they are given a different root system that is tried and true. The better root enables them to thrive.

We, who are Gentiles, were grafted onto the ultimate Root and we are able to thrive and produce fruit because of that Root. May our branches be strong and our fruit abundant. The Root of David and Jesse, Christ Jesus.

Amen.

“And the remnant who have escaped of the house of Judah Shall again take root downward, And bear fruit upward.”

‭‭II Kings‬ ‭19‬:‭30‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
