The Orange Staircase

Going down

The orange staircase beckons

A shortcut to an exclusive club

You’ve done your own research

Down the rabbit hole

Blinded now by confirmation bias

You stumble down deeper

No limits in the name of loyalty

Sacrificing morals, twisting logic

His lies, your truth

At subterranean depths

You feel the heat from hell

And still you rally before

The ugly orange face

Of doom

  • Ugly orange face, that's when it clicked for me who you're talking about. Loved your poem!

Nailed it. I am continually amazed/horrified/stunned/confused by how far it goes.

A staircase... More like an elevator to hell for me! But I like this one!
