The Moon And The Sun
Together on the horizon on March 1, 2026

Looking out my kitchen window this morning, I saw this! I called my husband to the window, and at first he didn't see it. It was so bright in our kitchen, and you had to be in just the right spot.
I am not a photographer, and the sun and the moon together, wow, I had to get a picture. Taking a regular photo didn't capture what I was seeing. I enlarged my view to 8x, which my phone's camera can do. Bringing the view closer did the trick.
The trees shown in the photo are about 40 acres away from my kitchen window, and across the field from our house.
After taking the photo, which took me a few tries to get the photo above, I could not see right. The brightness was too much to go back to normal vision. So much so that I had to wait to write about my experience.
This experience overshadowed the hubby's birthday! He turned 76 today! He is feeling old this year. Some years are like that. It was 70 for me. That was a tough one.
Then the first thing he told me was about earlier this morning was about a friend who died in his home on the 24th of February, and they only found him a few days ago. That friend was only 61. They think he died from a heart attack or stroke.
It was nice to have the sun and moon experience to take our minds off our friend for a minute, along with the cupcakes, card, and photos I prepared for John as a surprise this morning.
My life is so full of so much love, joy, and happiness
I wake up grateful every morning for all of my experiences
Life is such a gift, and I am so grateful for my recovery
or I know I wouldn't still be alive and thriving. What a discovery
to find the "We" who walk by my side.
Last night I went for a ride
picked up a friend after a meeting
then to pick up walleye, and then a storytelling
event, where a woman I sponsor told her story
and a friend whose music I love was there in her glory
to tell a story and to sing a song that goes along with her story.
Then another woman I sponsor and 4 women from water ceremony
We sat with neighbors who make beautiful jewelry, who were there
I said in my meeting, where else do we have an opportunity anywhere
to take a look at our past, to make it right, and live our best life
Because I write, three people asked me to tell a story.
I said I am here to listen and support my friends, sorry.
Poem a Day in February is over, and so much fun
We rhyme on the 8th of all other months, Hon
I am so blessed
I would have never guessed
