The Man Who Refused To Know Himself

In a world of constant distraction and TikTok-attention spans, it's easy for some to never truly examine themselves, their choices, their actions.

He approached his own

Mortality

Sidewinder style

Sliding his mind

Above, away, up

From the burning sand

Of self

As much as possible,

Impossible to burrow

Down too deep

To see

Where his death

Might lead him.

_

Leaving whip-crack tracks

Across the sand

Sidewinding his way

Across the surface

Across the desert

Across the furnace.
