The Lantern’s Glow
Pumpkin lanterns light the way

The Lantern’s Glow
The night arrives with gentle hands,
It hums beneath the pumpkin light,
The streets are stitched with laughter’s thread,
And candles guide the playful night.
Children run in whispered clouds,
Their joy spills golden through the cold,
Each mask a dream of magic hearts,
Each step a story yet untold.
The moon leans low to watch them pass,
A mother made of silver air,
She smiles upon their tiny ghosts,
And blesses every giggle there.
The wind itself seems kind tonight,
It carries warmth through every door,
For one brief night the world feels right,
And fear becomes a game once more.

Very nice. This line is so poignant: "Each step a story yet untold."
