The full moon creates a white light across the snow,

where shadows dwell in the corners and

animal tracks are frozen.

The tip of the long icicle glows like a light.

a single light within the warped darkness

that simulates day.

The icicle looks like a tiny star that

could guide the way in the night when

the lights go out.
