A bitter brew, a morning's start,

A bitter taste, a heavy heart.

The coffee's dark, a somber hue,

Reflecting thoughts, both old and new.

The steam ascends, a ghostly sight,

A phantom dance, in morning's light.

The aroma lingers, bittersweet,

A bitter taste, a haunting treat.

I sip the brew, a bitter taste,

A bitter memory, a haunting past.

The coffee's dark, a somber hue,

Reflecting thoughts, both old and new.

The world outside, a bustling scene,

A cacophony of noise, unseen.

But here within, a quiet space,

A moment's pause, a fleeting grace.

The coffee's bitter, sharp and strong,

A bitter truth, a bitter song.

It wakes me from my slumber deep,

To face the day, with heart and keep.

The bitter taste, a bitter pill,

A bitter truth, that I must fill.

I drink it down, with bitter grace,

A bitter start, to a bitter race.
