-merchants/beggars

-soldiers/farmers

-artificial engineers/waste management

-he/she/they

-etc.

Are (plurally being):

-selling/buying

-destroying/growing

-producing/consuming

-defecating/thinking/breathing

-etc.

Killing (death-inducing acts):

-resource vulgarizing/elemental polluting

-blatant dehumanizing/mono-crop monopolizing

-grossly misappropriating/systematic crippling

-assaulting/neglecting/rejecting

-etc.

the (denotes an assumed knowledge acquisition of a following location’s unique characteristics).

Earth (location):

-planet/home

-resource/sanctuary

-salt-brine/juniper peaks

-first: literary purple/beat of music/lovers’ dance.

-etc.

Nothing poetic: bleak reading

of a still bleaker plight.

Poem (piece of writing):

-creative endeavor of songlike speech

-structured emotional evocation

-versed experience

-sensational reading

-etc.

Rhythmless, alarmist sound.

Straightforward labeling

No symbolism profound enough to convey:

We are killing the Earth.

Etcetera.
