Storm Clouds

A poem

By Christine Published 3 years ago 1 min read

a wisp of whipping-cream white dangles on the storm cloud omniscience,

with a severed blue background complimenting the danger of adhering to simplicity.

while miles down, a world knows nothing of its kinetic power - holding force for the rivers’ rapids and desert zephyr.

the divided rays glisten. one illuminating a lone cross, others flickering off the faces of children and some causing the color of my eyes to change shades.

a blueish purple halo lines the horizon, the frame of my window tries fiercely to portray the vividness.

a sentimental sentence slips out my mouth in a serene sound,

“Better take the world for what it’s worth, you’ll only do harm in hoping for more.”

and the pink anvils slink against their predecessors,

leaving a murky trail of dark night sky and the scent of other-worldly rainfall.
