Still Feet

To Be Still, and Still Become

By Marcus HillPublished 4 months ago 1 min read

Rehearsing the past with still feet turns the mind into a shackled sanctuary.

Arguing with you is much easier since you've removed yourself far enough not to respond.

Is this peace? Or just pain slowly piercing my conscience as punishment for trying too long.

Somehow this is simple—

the good only sustained through perfection but normal was never comfortable.

Feet are meant to be planted but unless ours hovered above our trauma it felt worthwhile.

Detaching isn't an ending, it's a leap of faith

to overcome brokenness.
