Standing Tall and Brave

A poem in tribute of my good friend Frank Walls who was killed in the Persian Gulf War in 1991 as well as others who lost their lives in service

Wars begin, and wars will cease; Our brothers lost their lives.

When will all the fighting end? For world peace we should strive.

Buried loved ones fill the grave, across the nation whole.

Soldiers who have fought for us, the world did take their souls.

Fathers fight for families and for our country’s pride.

Filled with strength and courage, so many fathers died.

Red is for the blood that’s shed. White is for world peace.

Blue is for our freedom. So when will hatred cease?

Remember all the men who lost, their lives unto the grave,

Fighting for their country, Standing tall and brave.
