Snow Sledding and Cocoa Cream

First Frost Poem

By Seashell Harpspring Published about a year ago 1 min read

Cold and quiet

the still snow

waiting to be disturbed

finally the first frost to enjoy

A boy gathers his sled dogs

a thermos of hot chocolate and

a whipped cream can in his pack

as he sets off

The pups run through the snow

picking up exciting speeds

the boy takes a break

he adds cream to his cocoa

the dogs earn a spray of the cream

their tongues happily lap the treat

then wash the sugar down

by munching on snow
