You are a shell, sharpened glass amassed, softened through time

The glim gone dim in your eyes, a beacon for lost souls.

Sole nostril twitches, flares, the pair match in tandem, the familiar scent.

The hint of death, the salted tears tear the fabric of my Being.

You were a shell. And when I held you to my ear, I heard the ocean.

Oh, the meaning underneath this. I can feel deep grief here. What remarkable objects, seashells, and their nuances.
