secrets and closet doors
They'll come out eventually | for Natasha's Calling all Poets! Challenge
***
i toss my secrets into closets
hoping they hide in the corners
with the spiderwebs and tumbleweeds
but they're crawling up the walls
attaching themselves onto my clothes
and although i brush them off
pieces of my secrets are starting to show
to those who pay attention
[get it off, get it off, get it off]
but otherwise i'm good at hiding them
even though it's getting harder to close the door
***
but the thing about doors
is there are spaces
where the wood doesn't touch the floor
making it easier to open
and for the secrets to come out
