Restaurant
...and we feel genuinely divine
A trip to the restaurant is always a delight,
Where we enjoy a meal, and everything looks right.
The atmosphere is cozy, the lighting so serene,
We sit and wait patiently for our orders to be seen.
The menu is vast, with choices galore,
From steaming hot soup to scrumptious desserts to adore.
The waiters are on their toes, ready to serve,
We thank them with a smile and keep up our reserve.
The aroma of food fills the air,
We savor each bite with exquisite flair.
The flavors dance on our taste buds so fine,
We clean our plates and feel truly divine.
The restaurant's ambiance is so nice,
Makes us forget all worries, even thrice!
We'll be back for sure, on another day,
To have a feast, for which we crave and pray.

Our Song
Evening has given way to night. Gently, I settle next to you on the comfortable, old love seat and reach for your hand. You snatch it away, again. It cuts me to the quick, but I hide the pain, understanding that the reaction is but part of your demented state. Since the accident, your presence here in our cozy home has been clouded by a haze I can't see. Nevertheless, I feel the frigidity of your expressions and it serves as an excruciating reminder of the immeasurable distance between us.
