To my 2022 self:

Lift up your chin, relax your shoulders.

It will be okay.

Your eyes will dry up, your eyelashes will unstick. There is hope ahead of you.

Learn from the people around you. Don't wait for them to let you be happy. Stick close to the ones that you trust, but don't let them tie back your wings.

Be curious. Explore the bloody world, think, imagine, create! Live for the things that fulfil your heart and soul because sometimes that's what can keep us moving forward.

You will write, my dear.

Your creative blood is flowing colourfully, bright with passion and hope and love.

Don't stop believing~

Hold onto that feeling! (yes, i just did that.)

Breathe. Take a moment to escape that crazy teenage mind. You aren't crazy, you aren't weird, but if you are, so what?

Be different,

be special

creative,

unique in every fingerprint, down to the smallest cell in your body.

Treasure your voice, your heart, your love, everything inside of you because there's no escaping it. That's who you are and you need to know how to look after it.

Read. Find a book. Save your money and read, read, read.

Escape the rotten world that was caving in on you.

Block it out and relax.

They have no idea what they're missing, and when you're free...

Words are simply not enough in this moment. But joy will be something you can understand.

Be safe, strong, and don't fight the tears because that emotional, anxious, kind, crazy, creative, nerdy mess is you.

And me.

And we need to stick together.

Lots of love,

From,

2023 me.
