Where Sorrow Moves

Feel the sun on your skin

How it burns through your flesh

And sits in your breath

Feel the moon in your mind

How it cools through your eyes

When tears fail to shed

And sink in your throat

Feel the warmth of the day

And of days yet to come

Think of days better lived

Of days that have gone

O, sorrow, here you come

See the depth found in waves

That have swept through your thoughts

Flown through your scars

And poured out your heart

Like the wind in the sky

How I’ve loved our little dance

O, sorrow, have you gone
