My family was ignoring me

consumed by powerful energies

My son just gaming mindlessly

when all the power went off

Please help me Dad, what can I do

the WIFI's down, my game is doomed

There must be something you can do

before I lose a life!

Perhaps a book? Was my reply

that's what they did in days gone by

He rolled his eyes up to the sky

You must be mad, I’ll die!

Please help me God! My wife joined in

The battery on my phone is drained

Perhaps an Apple? I exclaimed

She then began to cry

Just look at us! What have we done?

Electric slaves, we have become

Forget your games and instaglum

It’s time to get a life

As time passed by, we searched inside

for other ways to power our minds

We talked and joked

We laughed and cried

for lost times we had missed

But then a buzzing filled the air

Electric snakes with venom stirred

They bit through our together world

Our family lost again.
