Paws never abandon their post

Stoically panting, he watches the gate.
Intensely staring, his heart starts to race.
Lunging and barking, a frenzied state.
Eager to chase, his tail wagging with glee;
Nearer the man approaches, spots the perched pooch with no time to flee.
Constantly barking, his voice a loud wedge.
Ecstatic as blue khaki exits out the gate; his threat now gone Kurt finds rest
