Palmetto shadows, poised for battle.

Or, are they at attention for shading her feminine features?

Dissipated stomach collywobbles,

flower petals rest, just as unsuspecting armor,

they whisper endless encouragement, working all the harder to charm her.

She dreamed best under leaking moonlight,

but grasped at any setting and time of light.

Large quantities of quandaries spin in rapid widdershins.

One day, she hoped to be graced with the presence of a quizzacious, kindred soul,

someone who’d toll the bell of her past,

and someone who would softly scroll down the papyrus of her heart’s memories.
