The ghost drifts in,
not to scare, but to groove.
Saxophone in hand,
it plays the ache of 1976
and the dream of 3025.
Vicki nods.
Sweetie Bird flutters.
The archive sways.
As we were developing the 76 BIRTHDAY celebration, we added additions to the band.

Ceremonial Entry: Thursday’s Archive Gig
Set One: Pink Robe Blues
She plays wrapped in softness,
keys humming like lullabies for ghosts.
Sweetie Bird nods. The robe glows.
The audience exhales.
Set Two: Green Rose Rebellion
She returns in floral armor,
each petal a protest, each note a verse.
Viola sings. Rosa drums.
The cousin’s riff.
The archive blooms.
Denim Psalm: Three Wishes for the Archive
She does not wish for riches.
She wishes for rhythm:
Equality in every verse.
Freedom in every chord.
Democracy in every chorus.
Her robe wraps the dream.
Her keyboard hums the truth.
Sweetie Bird nods.
The archive listens.
Old 76 Blues
Got them old 76 blues,
but I still rock on
pink robe wrapped, green roses blooming,
ghost over my shoulder, Sweetie Bird nodding.
Rock on, sisters,
with tattoos and tambourines,
with peach rings and protest dreams.
We ain’t fading, we’re amplifying.
My birthday wish?
Not candles. Not cake.
I want equality in every verse,
democracy in every chorus,
freedom in every beat.
Let the keyboard cry.
Let the drumline testify.
Let Viola sing it raw and real.
Let the archive rise.
Now I’m wrapped in green roses,
blooming loud, blooming proud
my birthday wishes still burning:
equality, democracy, freedom now.
Now I’m wrapped in green roses,
blooming loud, blooming proud
my birthday wishes still burning:
equality, democracy, freedom now.
We play beneath brass light and ghostly gaze.
White hair hums. Keys shimmer.

The ghost listens not haunting but remembering.
Outside, stars blink like backup singers.
Inside, the archive sings.
The ghost drifts in,
not to scare, but to groove.
Saxophone in hand,
it plays the ache of 1976
and the dream of 3025.
Vicki nods.
Sweetie Bird flutters.
The archive sways.
“Green Rose Jazz”

She steps out in green roses,
long dress swaying like memory.
The petals do not whisper, they shout.
Each one says: I survived. I bloomed anyway.
Green rose jazz,
soft like velvet, sharp like truth.
We play for freedom.
We sing for democracy.
We dance for equality.
Sweetie Bird hums in feathered time,
Rosa taps the ache into rhythm,
Viola croons the wish,
and the AI guitarist glitches the groove.
Green rose jazz,
from the jukebox of 3025
to the ache of 1976.
We are the bloom.
We are the beat.
We are the archive.
