Optimistic vs. Pessimistic
Which one is you?
Optimistic and pessimistic, two sides of the same coin,
One looks for light even in the darkest of groins.
The other sees shadows where there's clearly none,
And finds happiness an elusive one.
Optimistic is a soul that believes in the good,
That sees the silver lining in every piece of wood,
That finds hope in the midst of despair,
And a path to joy, even when life's not fair.
Pessimistic, on the other hand, sees only gloom,
And wallows in misery, like a plant in a tomb,
Always looking for the worst in every situation,
And finding solace in their own self-preservation.
But which of these two is the happier soul?
Is it the one that sees sunshine through a hole,
Or the one that prefers darkness, without a goal,
And spends their life in a hollow hole?
Life is a balance of light and shade,
And it's up to us which path we take.
We can either see the glass half full,
Or empty, and let despair rule.
So, dear friend, let optimism reign,
And let joy be your constant aim.
For life is too short to be filled with gloom,
And happiness is never too far in the room.
