I am a wall, strong and tall,
Built to stand the test of time,
Through storms and wars, I stand my ground,
A sentinel of this land sublime.
I've seen the rise and fall of empires,
And the passing of countless years,
I've watched as kings and queens have ruled,
And as common folk shed their tears.
But through it all, I've remained steadfast,
A symbol of strength and might,
For I am more than just a barrier,
I am a witness to human plight.
I've heard the whispers of lovers,
As they whispered secrets to each other,
I've seen the tears of families,
As they said goodbye to a mother or a brother.
But I've also heard the cries of war,
And the screams of those in pain,
I've felt the fury of angry mobs,
As they sought to break my chain.
And so I speak to you, my human friends,
As you stand before me now,
Remember that I am not just a wall,
But a witness to your joy and sorrow.
Treat each other with love and kindness,
And let your hearts be your guide,
For in the end, it is not walls that endure,
But the love that we keep inside.
