My Mind is your Throne

Love to Springtime

By Rob AngeliPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

[my spirit is your bed]

Between the sky and the earth lie the eyes

and the earth and the sky are the prize;

the sun could be a blind eye

self ignorant, though

temporarily bright:

we are dizzy looking round,

we are dizzy looking down

where

flowers of evil crop nourished by what watering-can?

which armfuls of innocent grass irrigated hardly by Eden,

which eyes make such tears,

soft to the solid ground watered;

which mouth makes such slobber

to digest what so-called roots?

are the flowrs so evil? is the grass so pure?

[when you see them so tantalizing]

By the ripeness of earth-apples

your big eyes are so mouthwatering.

[my mind is your throne]
