Around and around we dance beneath the lanterned sky...we the mannequins - performing at the whim of puppeteers who forever pull our strings
Jaded, fools, yet for whom do the bells toll in yonder distance - the jaded fools or the puppeteers
We believe ourselves masters of out fate and destiny...they laugh at our audacity, not playing their games like suckered ghouls
Within our labyrinthine deep well of dark confusion, where our brains reside...sleeping
A luminous question shines, how brightly lit is our lantern's glow
Will it's light remain mostly hidden, or shall it glow like the sun
Importuning its release - beckoning us forwards to illumination
Still we dance...the years passing...the lanterns glaring, obscuring our sight
Until today...when a hero stepped forth... it's you, me, us, everyone. Our eyes have finally awakened from their slumber at the puppeteers will.
Yet...there is that one great lantern blocking my path. What can it be?
I finally realize that all the dancing fools are versions of myself...I have the power to redirect my many selves towards the paths which they should follow
I am the puppeteer dangling all the many different puppet-ed parts of my destination
I take hold of the new lantern - I see my path glaringly lit - I set forth in eager anticipation...towards a new light
Luminous by daylight...Celestially lit...a lantern--glowing within me.
