Miss Daisy.
Travelling with Daisy.
As I'm Driving Miss Daisy,
Seeing the beach sends her crazy,
She smells the sea air,
And sits high in her chair.
We walk through the park,
Excitement, and a little bark.
Swimming in the bay is her favourite,
In the sun, she does savour it.
We spend a happy few hours,
Enjoying the delights of the beach,
Taking photos of beach flowers,
Daisy swimming within reach.
Time for lunch now,
We head to the park,
Sitting next to each other as we chow,
My dog and I, she is my spark.
My best friend for a long time here,
We keep each other safe and entertained,
All over this beautiful sphere,
Trust and love, always remained.
We get back in the car,
We had to travel not too far,
For us both, We pick up some dinner,
She smells the food, she thinks I'm a winner.
These are our favourite times,
Our lives now in our primes,
We spent many years on adventures,
From each other, we don't venture.
Back at home,
Is was nice to beachcomb,
We curl up on our sofa,
Garden wafting aromas of Rosa.
A movie we watch with our meal,
Safe and comfortable, it does feel,
A good night's sleep,
Into our dreams we will sweep.
Resting for the next day's events,
Where Daisy might help me find some Gents.

I was so sure this was going to end tragically and I can't tell you how relieved that I am it didn't. Haha
I used to take my cat travelling with me while she was still in this realm. When we include our pets in our everyday lives, we start to form bonds beyond comprehension. There's a connection that requires no words. Beautiful poem!!
