Let There Be Light

A Series of Unrequited Reflections

Top Story - January 2025

God said let there be light, and then there was you. Standing in the dark corner of a room that I tried so desperately to ignore but could not seem to live without. You were the spark that lit a flame in me to reveal the truth.

The truth that God is within us all, despite our feeble attempts to mask that divine presence. To unearth a grace and beauty so easily shrouded beneath noise yet hidden in plain sight. Then there was you. Revealing the shadows that we so desperately try to hide.

You were the key to unlocking a labyrinth of principalities unknown. The mirror in which we cast away. For awakening to reality would be all too painful. The world basks in remaining dormant– propagating mediocrity and satire above speaking freely. Overprotecting the personas that we cling to for survival.

Then there was you. The spark that struck my nervous system where synapses meet in a collective harmony. A pulse that refused to die so long as our progeny would live to tell the tale.

Then there was you, reclining gracefully upon the opinions that you paid no mind. Where words unsaid resonate louder than actions justified. Undulating forward to the rhythm of time. Healing wounds we no longer need to mend.

Then there was you, breaking the bones of a pride unwilling to see the error of its ways. Where charges of punishment and pleasure intertwine in a dance of ignorance with the sublime.

And then there was silence.
