A heart does not break.

Bones may break or shatter

But a heart is not bone.

Nothing so rigid and hard

It may rupture or tear,

Or be wounded or torn.

But it heals, mends, and endures.

In the end, a heart heals

... Just not quite as it was Before

Beautiful, sad, and insightful 🩷🩷🩷 every heart'break' leaves its own scar, we will never be the same.

I never heard it put like that. Beautiful poem and a beautiful meaning. Well Done!!!

This poem beautifully captures the resilience of the heart. It’s true that while the heart may face moments of hurt, pain, or loss, it isn’t something rigid like bone that simply breaks beyond repair. Instead, it can bend, stretch, and adapt, though never quite returning to its original shape. There’s a quiet strength in that healing process—an ability to endure and grow stronger, even if it’s with a new sense of depth or understanding. The idea that it heals "just not quite as it was before" feels like a gentle truth about how we carry on after heartache: we are changed, but in a way that makes us more whole. A poignant reflection on the human spirit.
