I’ve always wondered what it would be like
to get rid of the monsters in just one swat
like a fly smashed against a wall or window
and it has eventually happened that way
*
one night they were all gone
as if packed into one suitcase, they emigrated
to another world
cold or hot, I really don’t care
*
the fact is I can’t think of them
as permanent tenants in my apartment
why would I feed them
if they don’t serve me at all?
*
their unreasonable ideas
they don’t fit in my life anymore
if ever, they only changed it so
into one pitiful stain
*
putrid like fish a week after being discarded
so now my home smells nice, no room for that
erroneous excavation
emulsifying trifle
*
there is no need to combine different energies
into one quirky little thing
who needs it? I don’t
so, I’m going to stick to it
*
it just happened that way over the years
that everyone wanted even the tiniest part of me
so, what were they left with if nothing
while I gained a whole range of things
*
mainly words, circumstances, and persons
to cram them into plots of the prettiest things
filling blank pages with black ink
without thinking too much about anything else
*
and their unawareness of it
it’s the best thing that could have happened to me
still a dream, yet slowly becoming
a lucid reality
