A garden of bliss
A sudden hiss
Flowers of every hue
The frog jumps into view
Time becomes slow
An echo, “oh-OH!”
Fountainheads
Watersheds
Petals in the wind
A visitor who’s green-skinned
Feathers of white
Don’t prepare you for the sight
Climbing the retaining wall
Careful not to fall
Dragonflies
Butterflies
Lilly pads floating in a pond
Sun-mottled fronds
A beak nudge hello
A friendship that’s mellow
Flowers bloom
There’s plenty of room
For these two fellows
Koi in blacks, whites, oranges, and yellows
An afternoon in the sun
A beauty that stuns
Peaceful meditation
Tranquil sedation
Placid pools
Serenity rules
Unruffled feathers
Perfect weather
Unlikely friends
To the very end

The Devil's Triangle
The sails ruffled in the breeze as we cruised along. The Sea Breeze was a mid-size catamaran that sailed out of Royal Naval Dockyard in Bermuda. We had booked this trip weeks in advance and were now looking at our Captain, Spike and two boat hands. Paddy and Wilson seemed like nice guys, joking around with the passengers and telling us some stories about Bermuda that only locals would know. Their island accents sounded almost British but they were pleasant to listen to.
