The first frost is the most magical time of the year

The last leaf has fallen,

The temperature is dropping.

What is that smell?

Is that snow I smell?

The first frost of the season feels so good.

Especially when it follows a snowfall.

The two together is a winter wonderland.

This is a time in moment I want to live here forever.

This feels like a dream- a beautiful scene from a Christmas movie.

-How do I stay here forever?

Just one more moment before it gets ruined by what’s next.

I slip into my cozy boat and a warm coat and take in the moment before it melts and I have to deal with what's next.
