Fading Seasons
Seasons come and seasons go
A child is born
A child grows
A mature adult takes their place
The space of magic, miracles and messes
Ends and soon enough only the memories remain
A time of change, opportunity and growth
One can only forge on, knowing life is a cycle
It begins, evolves, changes and then ends.
The moments of life’s glory are truly all we have to hold to
Everything else fades away, and none of it can be taken with us when we’re gone.
When the nest is emptied, and you’ve moved on
Look back in fondness, do not burrow down into all that’s sad.
Nothing lasts forever, and honestly, that’s not so bad.
