Instructions for a Feeling

Experience and instruct me,

Experience peace,

Experience fear,

Experience passion.

Standing along a fence row, looking past the swaying grass,

Rocking and swaying to the wind’s whispered notes,

Smelling spring flowers and feeling the morning’s dew,

Hearing the drip of water’s breath beneath the fountainhead.

Splashing in a hurry through puddles filled by rain,

Shaken, driven backwards by the sudden hurricane,

Voices in the distance, indistinct and barely heard,

Violently are taken, without another word.

A taste of honey and a taste of milk,

Upon my breasts and lips those tastes do linger,

Filling passion’s cup with guilty hunger,

And my lover’s loins with gifts of pleasure.
