Vibrant minds
Created the structure
Set forth a plan
With well intention,
A common goal to succeed
To plant the seeds of a utopia-
Their foresight lacked
The change of view,
The fluctuating desires of
Ever changing human nature
Of needs and wants-
The constant change of importance
A hierarchy never planned-
A blueprint drawn
With room to erase,
Rearrange and cut out walls-
Create open space
Nurture the minds of followers-
Only for their fluidity to be taken
Turned rigid by supposed “evolution”
Of species more stuck on history
Than the day ahead-
Walls set in place
With no way of transparency
No work-around
Or communication,
The key to the next floor
Next level
Lost and buried deep
Awaiting the true enlightened
To show the world what is next
For a species lost on their own path
Because they’re too busy
Watching someone else’s.

Coming from my point of view & vocation, you have perfectly described what it is for faith to evolve into religion which in its attempts to capture, codify & preserve faith, ends up losing it. Beautifully done.
