The sleep that never ends

It began with a dream;

a terror that aching hearts make.

When shadows of sun tattoo daymares onto flesh;

the stench of burning chests isn't enough

to awaken from.

Through the ages - the dead are walking;

different colors,

different faces,

same dream,

same slumber.

Bits and pieces remain caught in its web;

whose fibers were woven to catch monsters of the

night,

now only a glimpse of the dream's elusive fright is

trapped.

The dreamcatcher is unable to

catch.
