"I feel that I'm at that certain place in time - where I am wasting my time, frittering away my life".

What life, you are a typewriter!

"Made in China".

"What".

Nothing.

~~~~~~
My mind is blank
I heard you typing...what you got so far
"Made in China".
What's that got to do with anything?
Ever notice that everything is - "Made in China".
Omigosh...I thought that you wanted to write a book.
I do, but my mind is blank
Do you have a plot of what you want to write about
I have tall tales and short stories
Can I make a book by combining both
It seems such a daunting task
I avoid daunting tasks
My life is a hack and wreck of too much 'daunting' stuff
Well, you better decide quickly what you want to do
Time waits for no one, you know that.
I know, I have been procrastinating a lot lately.
"Made in China"???????
Again with the China
Write something...anything
Just start and get your brain stimulated
And make sure it's interesting,
nobody wants to read banal hum drum drudgery.
Make it something that people will love and want to read
If you find it boring, so will everyone else.
"and why aren't you using your apostrophes"?
Good gracious, you are so harsh and cruel, such hurtful words
apostrophes are so redundant...
They might as well be, "Made in China".
Harumph! So what, you want me to lie and say 'oh, it's so great'
while your story sits on the shelves unread and unnoticed
OK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Geez.
I hope China sues you for infringement on their country's reputation.
Haha. Story line.
The trouble with sassy typewriters
As a child, I saw people on TV using typewriters and I fell in love with it. I wanted to write, to type...something.
I started composing poetry on paper...owning a typewriter seemed akin to living on Mars.
Computers...what computers? Typewriters were in schools, offices and expensive store windows.
I graduated, did the mandatory year of government 'Service', got my first job and enrolled in Business college.
I got high marks...except for typing. Irony much.
I primped and preened, sat down to formal dinners, and learned the correct ways of etiquette.
I excelled...except at typing at 85 wpm, at 65 wpm - no coherence. 45 worked, if I took my sweet time.
They bestowed on me a transcript upon the esteemed graduating podium. No Diploma until my typing improved.
I never went back for the diploma.
But hey...I had learned to type on the typewriter, learned how to be a lady doing ladylike things. I had graduated, what did typing fast have to do with it anyway.
I still cannot type 85 WPM without a ton of mistakes.
Maybe if I were - "Made in China".
........
I should go get my Diploma. RIGHT TYPEWRITER!
Should I be honored that you love me so much?
Goodness...so ungrateful!
Not bad for a starting story...now go do better!!!!
Sassy Typewriter!
Actually..."Made in China".
"What"?
