Confession
We all have closets
Musty and dusty
For they are rarely opened
Full of cobwebs and
Skeletons galore
Piled on top of each other
Busting at the walls
Breaking down the door
In an attempt to get out
They have been caged
For so long
Locked away in fear
Of what others will think of us
Our family, our faith
Our lifestyles, our lovers
The mistakes and choices
We have made
But loose lips unlock latches
For when we speak of our skeletons
They are allowed to leave our closets
For a night on the town
Dancing and partying
Uninhibited, unapologetic
In the living of their life
And in their departing
A weight is lifted from your chest
For I am told
From flesh to bone
Body and soul
A confession sets you free
