I love you when the skies are clear,
When smiles are bright and joy is near.
In moments sweet, when all aligns,
Our love is strong, our hearts entwined.
But when the winds of trouble blow,
And shadows fall, I start to slow.
For love, you see, is not the same,
When tied to terms, a fragile flame.
It's built on what you do or say,
On perfect steps along the way.
A love that bends to circumstance,
A love that only holds if chance.
Yet deep inside, a longing grows,
For love that stays, no matter lows.
For conditional love, though it may gleam,
Is never as whole as what we dream.
