Come Fly Away
She said come fly away with me, my arms open wide but yet not so sure, I had held so dearly the quietness in my soul, so still and silent for so many years, yet longing to let it out, to release it, for I have become one with this thing and it is time to let go she said.
Okay, okay, I will, I will, but first, first this one thing I must just let it out and then stamp on it, or maybe light it on fire?
It doesn't matter how you rid of it, she said, come fly away with me. With a wink and a curtsy she was gone.
So I let it out.
And when I did, when I did, the weight of the world lifted off of me, and I will never be the same again... now I am free.
