My Sweet Juicy Baby, Born Again
You arrived wrapped in sweetness and light,
Curled like a promise the world forgot to break.
Soft as laughter resting in my hands,
A second beginning I did not know I needed.
Your cheeks hold sunshine and gentle surprise,
As if joy itself learned how to breathe.
Nothing sharp has ever touched your skin,
Only kindness, only the hush of wonder.
I look at you and feel time loosen its grip,
Old sorrows stepping quietly aside.
You are proof that beginnings return,
That something pure can come again.
Stay just like this for a moment longer,
Bright, whole, and safe in sweetness.
You are my reminder, born again,
That happiness can still be held.
