Bad Lifestyle Will Backfire

The man's excess smoking led to wife's premature death

The man lost his wife,

to her premature death.

He was devastated,

lonely, buried in grief.

Who would now feed him

home-cooked meals,

stay beside her like a shadow,

offer pills at the right time?

His emotions are valid.

But was he, in part,

the culprit behind

her untimely death?

How is that?

She was rural Indian woman —

no alcohol, no smoking,

devoted wife, caring mother.

But he was a heavy smoker.

His smoke affected himself.

He developed Graves’ disease.

I’ve seen exophthalmos —

scary, bulging eyes.

He exposed her daily,

to toxic fumes, day and night.

Remember,

smoking causes cancer

even through by,

secondhand exposure.

He was a teacher.

Yet, to pursue pleasure,

and to drown stress,

he ignored health rules.

He exposed her to

hormone disrupters,

She suffered hormone disruption,

lupus, kidney issues—

systemic inflammation,

a transplant,

and then cancer followed.

That's how the man

who should have protected,

drove her to death.

Note: Remember, today's pleasure-seeking bad habits will bring devastation to your life tomorrow.

Act wisely in lifestyle choices.
