The mortal mind lives one time
The author lives a thousand
The mortal soul tastes death but once
The author dies in droves
The mortal’s eyes observe one world
The author sees them all
The mortal heart breaks so rarely
The author’s is never whole

How us writers travel to various fantasy worlds, become momentarily different characters, "the author live a thousand lives" couldn't be more true!
This comparison between the mortal and the author is really interesting. It makes me think about the different ways we experience life. I wonder if the author's ability to live so many lives through their work is a blessing or a curse. Do they ever get overwhelmed by seeing so much? And how does that affect their view of the world compared to us mortals?
