A Funny Poem

Last night as I was sleeping,

A spaceship flew nearby,

I heard a loud "Zzzoooooom!"

And saw lights up in the sky.

Out stepped little green men,

With heads that looked like beans,

Their eyes were big and googly,

And they wore metallic jeans.

They zapped my messy room,

With gadgets blinking bright,

I asked, "What are you doing?"

They said, "We're here for a bite!"

They didn’t want my snacks,

Or pizza, cheese, or pie—

They munched on my homework,

Saying, "This math tastes kinda dry!"

They chomped my science paper,

And history by the pound,

"Delicious facts and figures!"

As they floated off the ground.

I tried to tell my teacher,

"Aliens took my stuff!"

She rolled her eyes and said,

"That excuse is just too rough."

So now I’m stuck explaining

That they’re flying ‘round in space,

With bellies full of homework,

And grins across their face!
