But do you not see, you make the decision?
You’re ‘complicit in your own subjugation’ -
You know this but you don’t ever listen!
The very thing you hate yourself for,
Is the very thing you should love yourself for,
The very thing you hate yourself for,
Is what real people admire you for the most.
So let go of the derision, the ridicule,
The voices at the back of the class,
But front and centre of your mind,
Celebrate your differences and watch your life change -
Congratulations buddy, you’re doing the best you know how,
And that is fine!

For the Public Announcement Challenge, writers were asked to work inside voices built for control. These were notices, warnings, and updates meant to inform rather than confess. The strongest entries committed to that form and didn't break from it. Corporate memos, formal government alerts, and internal policy language were held consistently, allowing emotion, fear, grief, or humor to surface indirectly through pressure rather than declaration. Grz, I love this!! Such a great reminder of why our differences are so important and why it's important to celebrate them! May I use this is a piece I have coming out in January? It's something like my Vocal Graveyard Challenge I ran, where I want to dig up old pieces from some of my favourite people and show them some love!
