A Kingdom Beyond Our Own

A KINGDOM BEYOND OUR OWN

Somewhere in this world people became lost,

but now we all as a society will pay the cost,

the world has become numb, to the feeling of peace,

now we long, for this hate, poverty, and corruption to cease,

what have we done to our purpose have we become blind,

closed out by the ways and sinfulness of mankind,

where and when does it change will this hate ever end,

trying to hold on to sanity but it slows away with the wind,

looking, and searching for hope, holding on to what's here,

keeping close that you love and hold dear, trying not to fear,

will someone take the stand you or me, or will it be us both fighting to be equally free,

running away just to find the light, praying and being patient for that, which is right,

some much anger and hate yet I only hear excuses,

Judgemental minds, racism, and mental abuses,

Poverty, depression, hate, aggression,

but it seems no one's learned their lessons,

creating false alter reality's trying to cope with the world we built,

hurting, and being hurt and never feeling guilt,

are we just longing to be love, and accepted, that we act out in sin,

the abomination this world creates will bring us as a people to an end,

when will we change, will it then be too late?????,

longing to start new, with a cleanse and clean slate,

but will we conquer the things that destroy us most today,

or will we sit in the sunset to watch our lives be washed away,

so I ask, will we even make it right so that we won't be alone,

or miss out on God in being in a kingdom beyond our own.
